Your Role
The Communications Manager will report to the Director of Communications and be responsible for a variety of communications jobs aimed at conveying Amazon's vision, values, and goals. This pivotal role focuses on both internal and external communications, ensuring that consistency and clarity are maintained throughout all messaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with Amazon's business objectives.
- Craft clear and compelling messaging for various audiences, encompassing media releases, internal newsletters, and social media content.
- Manage public relations efforts, building relationships with journalists, influencers, and community leaders to enhance brand awareness.
- Oversee content development for digital platforms, ensuring all communications are optimized for SEO to maximize reach and engagement.
- Lead crisis communication initiatives, quickly addressing any issues that may affect the company’s reputation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, HR, and operations to create cohesive communication efforts.
- Monitor media coverage and public opinion, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Organize and execute internal communication programs that foster employee engagement and promote company values.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously innovate communication practices.
Qualifications
We are seeking a passionate and visionary leader who possesses both creativity and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a communications role, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of digital communication platforms and social media best practices.
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically and maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience managing relationships with media and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and tactics.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
